Hi, I’m John Failla, and I’m the Founder of Pearl.

Like a pearl, our company story has been one of evolution. Back in 2016, when we were known as Trilogy Mentors, we were a scrappy in-person tutoring company that connected Richmond-area students with local mentors.

The last few years, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, have brought about a new paradigm of teaching: a blend of in-person and online learning.

And, as tutors ourselves, we noticed there wasn’t a single, all-in-one tool available to help educators like ourselves manage and grow our business in this new hybrid learning environment. And so we decided to build one ourselves.
